2026 WORLD SHOW QUALIFYING 

In order to show in any rated class (Youth, Amateur, and Open) at the World Show, ALL horses must go to two shows and show in any AMHA-rated classes (Youth, Amateur, and Open) or use the Pay-2-Play option by completing the form and submitting the fee prior to the horse showing at the World Show, or by placing in the Top Ten at a Regional Championship show (see below).

Open and Amateur Qualifying: is the same as 2025. Horses must go to two shows and show in any AMHA-rated classes or use the Pay-2-Play option by completing the form and submitting the fee prior to the horse showing at the World Show. Please see the Pay-2-Play form for more information. 

Youth Qualifying: A youth must show the horse in the type of AMHA rated Youth class (in-hand and/or driving) in at least one AMHA approved show prior in that calendar year in order to show in a rated Youth class at the World Show. For example: Youth Hunter is considered an in-hand class, Youth Halter is an in-hand class, Youth driving is a driving class. If the Youth's feet are on the ground, it is an in-hand class, if the Youth's feet are in a cart, it is a driving class.  Youth must qualify to show weanlings by either showing in a Youth Halter Mare or Gelding class, or an Open class in the case of colts. The Youth must be listed as the exhibitor in the qualifying Open Halter class.  Youth cannot use Pay-2-Play!

Regional Top Ten Qualifying for World Show - per rule WS-030-E (page S-108)
"All horses placing TOP TEN in their class at one of the AMHA Regional Championship Shows, regardless of the number shown in the same classes as offered at the World Championship Show will AUTOMATICALLY qualify for the same class at the AMHA World Championship Show."

Weanling classes: No qualifying is necessary, unless being shown by a YOUTH
Futurity: No qualifying is necessary
Non-rated: No qualifying is necessary, except for Amateur Jackpot Halter Classes (must follow regular qualifying processes)


PAY-2-PLAY FORM FOR WORLD SHOW QUALIFYING  fee is $500 for 1 show, $1000 for 2 shows per horse





NEW OWNER TRANSFER POLICY FOR WORLD SHOW ENTRIES
Transfers of Ownership and Leases will be accepted in the AMHA office up to 30 days prior to Class #1 of the World Show and must be expedited. For 2026, deadline for paperwork to be received in the office is Thursday, August 27th - NO EXCEPTIONS! Expediting fee will depend on date paperwork is received in the AMHA Office and current volume of work in the queue.  Paperwork must be complete by the deadline, including registration certificate (if required) and payment, or may not make the deadline. This will allow the horse to be announced as in your name in the show arena but may not be updated in the World Show Program.

Every horse entered in the show must have a valid AMHA registration number on
or before the close of pre-entry date or will incur the Late Horse Fee and appropriate
Late Class Fee(s). Transfer of ownership of World Championship Show Entries is
subject to change up to 30 days prior to the Class Number 1 of the World Show and must be expedited. New registrations must be expedited to be completed before the close of entries and must include an expediting fee of $40.00 or $100.00 per horse depending on the date of receipt into the office if you wish the horse’s name to be announced in your name.
