


Youth > AMHyA World Championship Class List
As an AMHyA member, youth may participate in any AMHA-approved show. AMHA-approved shows offer more than 30 youth classes including halter, driving, jumping, showmanship, costume and others. Classes are judged in several age divisions and are also offered for special needs individuals.
In addition to show awards, youth may compete for titles including Honor Roll, AMHyA Champion, AMHyA Superior Event Horse and AMHyA Register of Merit. AMHA hosts three regional shows and a World Championship Show each year. The AMHyA World Championship Show is held in conjunction with the AMHA World Championship Show.
At the AMHyA World Championship Show, there are a number of other activities for members participation: Art Contest, Essay Contest, Photo Contest, and Team Tournament, just to name a few.
2023 AMHA WORLD SHOW QUALIFICATIONS FOR YOUTH
if a Youth wants to show a horse in an in -hand class at the World Show, they must show the horse at least in an in-hand class at least once prior to the World Show
If a Youth wants to show a horse in a driving class at the World Show, they must show that horse in at least one driving class prior to the World Show
Youth must submit Qualifying form with their entries!!

Youth Pleasure Driving 7 & Under
This class includes youth 7 & under in which all three styles of driving (Classic, Country, Single) may be exhibited. The horse will be judged according to the style that it is being driven. The Youth Pleasure Driving 7 & under class will be a zero (0) point qualifying class for the World Show however a form MUST be completed and turned in with your World Show entries in order for the youth to exhibit in this class at the AMHyA World Championship Show. The youth must have DRIVEN the horse at one AMHA sanctioned local or regional championship show.
*Please note this class is not a qualifier for Grand Championship classes at any AMHA approved show.
