The Performance Futurity offers incentives to start coming three-year-old horses to compete in classes based on age where the young and inexperienced can compete against others without showring experience. This allows these horses to compete without showing against World Champion and Grand Champion horses.

BREED, NOMINATE, SHOW, WIN, SUSTAIN
BREED:
Breed your best moving and conformationally correct stallions and mares.
NOMINATE:
Nominate your performance prospect by the following schedule.
Nomination fees are as follows:

Weanling Zero to 4 months of age = $25.00

Weanling Over 4 months to 8 months = $50.00
-
Over 8 months to Yearling* = $100.00
-
Yearling to three years old = $200.00 (after close of World Show entries $300)
Notice! The earlier you nominate the lower the fees; however, you also have the option to nominate at a later date depending on the performance potential of your horse. The three- year-old Stakes classes have now been absorbed by the Driving and Hunter Futurity Program.
SHOW:
The Performance Futurity offers incentive to start coming three-year-old horses to compete in classes based on age where the young and inexperienced can compete against others without showring experience. This, instead of having to compete against World Champion and Grand Champion horses.
SUSTAIN:
Performance horses “DRIVE” the AMHA as well as the miniature horse world! They make up 60% of recent World Show entries. When the Performance Committee was formed and started their Performance Futurity process, performance horses accounted for 51% of entries.
The Performance Futurity creates incentive in the form of payouts and stimulate interest and income from the breeder to the local shows, all the way to the AMHA!
